About UsKennedy Air Ag Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated aerial work company based just west of Gunnedah in the heart of the fertile Liverpool Plains region of northwest NSW. Providing aerial firefighting services and aerial locust control to both State and Federal agencies, and aerial application of fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides and fungicides to local farming enterprises. Kennedy Air Ag operates a fleet of large modern reliable turbine powered aircraft to provide safe and cost effective solutions to our customers needs. We also operate a fleet of ground support vehicles including loading and refueling trucks to provide an efficient service to our customers. AircraftWe operate Air Tractor aircraft for fixed-wing aerial applications, with the mainstay of the fleet being the AT-802. We operate three AT-802 aircraft and one AT-602 in aerial fire suppression and aerial application roles. The Air Tractor AT-802 has long been regarded as the benchmark for Single Engine Air Tankers (S.E.A.T's) worldwide, with it's safety, reliability and maneuverability around the fire line. Our AT-802's are fitted with the ever dependable Pratt and Whitney PT6A-67 engines which provide 1350HP while turning the super quiet 5 bladed Hartzell propeller at 1700RPM. We have had all of our aircraft fitted with long range fuel tanks to provide the client with an efficient platform for long-range missions, fire spotting and patrolling, or continuous fire suppression operations for extended periods. See our links section to view the Air Tractor website for a comprehensive look at the AT-802 and AT-602 aircraft and their specifications and capabilities. Communications play a major role in any aerial mission, and we have spared no expense in providing aircraft that are equipped with avionics that provide coverage of all government fire agencies for the eastern seaboard of Australia. Integrated through an audio panel, the pilot has control of several government radios, two aviation grade VHF radios, Next G mobile telephone and a UHF radio. Our aircraft are also fitted with the Mode C transponders, PA Siren, two separate GPS positioning devices, 406 Mhz Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT) with embedded GPS position and Perkins Technologies Data Alarm Acquisition Monitor (DAAM) systems. The DAAM system records data on a whole range of parameters of the aircrafts engine and airframe performance and stores it in solid-state for post mission download. The system provides two separate essential functions. Firstly, the recording of alarms or exceedences of any pre-determined parameters of the airframe or engine. Secondly, the unit serves as a trend monitoring system for the aircrafts engine providing the operator with a snapshot at any time of how their engine is performing and giving warning of any upcoming anomalies. For further information on this system refer to our links section and click on Perkins Technology. As part of providing contracted services to both State and Federal Government agencies, our aircraft have had to pass rigorous auditing processes and achieve near flawless dispatch reliabilities. We are always striving to surpass the benchmarks set by our contracting agencies to provide a safe, efficient and effective service and the Air Tractor provides us with the tools to achieve this goal. |
